4. Reading: My Favourite Celebration
My favourite celebration is Eid al-Fitr. Last year, we celebrated it with all our family. On the morning of Eid, we woke up early and wore our new clothes. Then we went to the mosque with my father.
When we came back, my grandmother made a huge traditional breakfast. We ate baklava, börek and all kinds of sweets. My uncle gave us gifts and my aunt brought flowers. Later, we visited our neighbours and had tea with them.
In the evening, we went to the town square where there was a ceremony with fireworks. The children wore costumes and sang traditional songs. It was the most wonderful day of the year!
